Ive been told mine is more than likely excess play in the brake calipers, as the noise only started after the discs and pads were changed. Plus the noise is random i.e not in sync with bumps on the road.

Well it varies, from 1000 to 3000 miles.. Depending on what I top up with. No leaks, just had a service and had a clean bill of health. I just wondered if this was relativley normal for these engines? Cheers

Only use 5w30 either platinum grade or long life, but always change every 10k. I use longlife which is designed to last 20k but change every 10..
