This happened to me too (although I didn't replace my motor on Audi's advice). I went to my local Independent and he reckoned it was the ballast pack, so I took a gamble and got myself a new one from the dealers and it sorted all the issues.

Hi Was wondering if it is possible to swap the turbo on a 1.9TDi 130 for an upgraded version, say a turbo off one of the 150 BHP mk4 Golfs or A3s ? Would this be possible without having to change any other engine components ? Thanks

OK. Just unplugged the MAF. With it unplugged, there is a definite lack of power, feels like the turbo isn't kicking in at all. WIth the MAF plugged in it feels like there's even less power, although the turbo tries to spool up around 3000 rpm, and any power there is is very lumpy. Does this...
