You won't be disappointed I took my old A4 there a few times and was impressed with their service.
As soon as my Leon is out of warranty I will be taking it there.
Fair point, I was not slagging the Irish I was just a bit cautious that's all.
Anyway the guy seems genuine and says he is coming over on Thursday/Friday so fingers crossed will sell it!
Hello chaps, I have currently got my car up for sale and a guy is really interested. However, he wants me to send him the vin number and also the reg because he wants to do checks on it. I am a bit worried about him cloning my car but perhaps I am being to over cautious.
What do you lot think?
Best I have had in mine is 640 miles to a tank. That was on just motorways.
Normal day to day stuff would probably get 550 +
It may cost £70.00 plus to fill and be more expensive but if you think about the price difference between Diesel and Petrol - Diesel is about £1.13 per litre, Petrol is...
I suppose 5k may get you something but really high mileage, then you would have to check cam belt, turbos etc. Things start to go wrong over certain ammounts of miles then you have the problem of 'fix one part then another goes' so you end up having a few trips to the garage. So a 5k car my end...
You need to get the water pump done too.
From the top of my head -
Cam belt kit £88.00
Water Pump £29.87
You will need new coolant too G12 I think £5.99
I had mine done last week, Audi were quoting £490.00 so I got it done at an independant by me for £330.00 which I didn't think was too bad...
Thanks for the tips guys, have booked it in to have Cam belt done on Monday at a good specialist by me for £340 Audi wanted £460!!
Hopefully should be a plus for the next buyer.
Just phoned a garage for a trade in price and he said about £8900!! Cheeky sod. :wtf:
Im going to sell my car soon so would appreciate some opinions on what its worth. I have looked on Autotrader Parkers and Also Audi used cars and all the prices are so different ( I realize from a dealer you would pay more).
I did a valuation on Parkers and it came up 11.5k and on Class's Guide...
That looks really good Tintmaster how much did you pay to get your lowers colour coded if you don't mind me asking? I think I need to get mine done looking at how good all yours look.
There are not many quick fixes with n/a engines, there are normal things such as exhaust, Induction Kit, these only improve by small amounts and also improve engine sound. Cams and re-bores can make bigger differences but it depends on how much you want to spend and how much you want to tear...
