had my 1.8t for 18 months now, i got to say i love it. i have driven a 2.4 v6 cab and there smooth, but no faster then a 1.8t, pluss a little heaver too, so i would go for 1.8t every time, but thats just my oppion as for the roof tool....hummmm mines missing and i have only just noticed:salute:

try your door / window seal, the pasenger side is the moste comon affected with water when the plenum chambers are blocked, but theres no reasom i can think of that meen your driver side wont get wet too, is everything under the bonet ok. no holes where a rubber plug or bung as i call them is...

i for 1 have never heard of re greesing the roof parts, or a tank you can top up???? the only thing i do to the roof is give it a good cleaning and re proofing every 8 months or so. (cleaning is a bit more oftern) so if theres somthing i should be doing to my roof. like a service or somthing...

sounds like a good plan :thumbsup: dealers will cost the earth mate. get somone with a decent newish vagcom to go over it for you, should be able to tell you if its coming from the dash or not if nout else
