I decided after replacing the cams in my A4 2.5 I'd check the cams in my AWX 1.9. I've heard of cam wear on the 1.9. It's due a cambelt and I decided I'd check it and do it all at once if needed.
Engine is on 207k no service history at all until 167k then serviced on genuine parts.
Anyway...
You're lucky really. Starting with a Double din is nice and easy.
You will need to find a A6 one. Although the RNS-E's behind are pretty much the same. The facias are different between cars. I.e a A4 one looks different to a A6, TT, A3.
You'll need a wiring adaptor to quadlock.

My money is deffo on the door lock mech. There are switches inside that get wet. Take it apart, warm it up and reseal it.
As for the windows. I'm not sure.
