an S model is far more frugal on fuel than any RS model...by quite a long way!!!!! I had a Golf R and had a long term average of 30, in the RS its currently 23. Same roads, same commute to work. The S is superb on fuel until you’ve had the likes of an M or RS car.

Tad biased but the RS3 sounds so much nicer than the M4, but would say the M4 smashes it out the park in the looks department in the right spec :icon thumright:

Lol but that’s been tinkered with heavily! The noise as standard sounds pants. The B58 from the 1 and 240 sounds way nicer IMO. Also with a res delete, such as the M4, they sound superb.

Was a heavily modified Golf R. He was in front of me few months back going to Crail, along with some lad in a C63, and they were flying!!!!! Sure I saw him go down the 1/4 mile too ha, must have known he was caught surely. Such an infamous road for speed cameras. Lad will be spewing I bet...

More than likely. 40psi up front and 35 is what I have on the rear so not 1/4 mile friendly. Sure if I brought all 4 down to 30 I’d stand a far better chance. Saw many with ludicrously low tyres so think il do this next time. I think I’d get an 11.2/3 no worries if I did that

Yeh a few stage 2 Rs and S3s were running 11.9 to very early 12s. Slight headwind, like marginal. Chap on here with a Stage 2 RS3 fl is 11.1 so far on rubbish rubber. Amazed standard A45s were running 13s

If a anyones interested to see how there car compares to a stage 1 RS3 fl (APR) mine ran an 11.5 up at Crail today. 11.57 I think. Be sure to double check results when they are up

Lol, that thing must have sounded savage. I was behind one a few months ago when I was in my R, went through a tunnel at low speeds and had to put the window down...even at low speeds the rumble/noise was crazy as he pulled off. Yeh, couldn’t agree, easier to follow. No mate, was the saloon :)
