Suprising! I test drove the S3 2 Saturdays ago. The salesman told me to send my config code across and he would have a deal back to me by late afternoon. After a few emails over next few days with me having to repeatedly chase I finally got a full fat quote on Xmas eve with no discount at all...

Audi Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh for me are terrible. They do not offer one dime of a discount - no suprises that many Scottish members across the various Audi forums all tend to go down South for their cars.

No recaros at present mate which is a bit of a joke considering the cost of upgrading the leather. I was going to stomach that one until I saw the base ones in the flesh so it wasn't worth the upgrade to me in the end.

Well I have decided to change my tune after the initial test drive of the S3 less than two weeks ago. I was of the initial impression that the golf r was the same price for a lesser car (badge snobbery-check) and never gave it a second thought until reading the various comments about the S3's...

The looks of the R put me off slightly and I'm not a fan of the standard seats at all so I dismissed one without even testing but I have to say your GTD looks really smart

Very nice mate, Im waiting on Glasgow Audi coming back with what they want to offer but I fully expect that I will have to travel down south to take advantage of the discounts available.

Long I think you hit the nail on the head. I know deep down if I was cruising along and a panther black sportback passes me I would be thinking I made the wrong choice. I've had so many black cars that I think I need to keep that trend going for the S3

I quite like Daytona Grey myself and the sportback S3 really suits it. However, possible through a touch of badge snobbery I feel I need to choose one of the S3 specific colours. Once I manage to sell my car and I am in a position to buy the S3 I will go and have another look at the colours in...
