What size and speed rating? I didn't think they came in Y speed, which is what my A3 requires. Ditto. A friend has them on her Pug and they are surprisingly grippy, but that's the high profile version.

Is the effect worse than before the remap? A gearbox is a torque converter. The higher the gear, the lower the torque at the wheels, which combined with increased drag at higher speeds means higher gears will always feel like you have less power.

Be very careful with remaps for the new MOT - the new emissions check will catch anything that isn't at OEM levels of cleanliness. Visible smoke is insta fail.

I don't know the s3, but I have compared the 150 TDI and TFSI cars and while the TDI is fine with traditional fairly binary clutch application on launches, the TFSI cars seem to judder a lot. Instead they prefer quite a lot of slip, which I'm always hesitant to provide, but I guess if not done...
