I thought I'd better check this out after I watched the programme. It's always been a fact that in general the motoring press arent particularly fond of the S3 handling. So having been on here for many many years I knew what the responses on the frum would be.
Since I sold my S3 which I kept for...
Seriously think about a bank loan rather than either HP or PCP, at least you own the car and can sell should the need arise. Many PCP customers are finding it very difficult if they need to cancel the contract early.
I would worry about the TD1 flag, I hope you don't have any engine or transmission issues. You may also have a problem selling the car. Particularly through an Audi dealership.
My understanding is that cruise control slowing the car down does not affect the position of the brake pedal.
But whether or not the car is a liability, an incident could prove to be fatal. It's now at the point where you MUST reject the car and flatly refuse to ever drive it again.
But as you...
Ideally do the hubs when you get the car, the silver finish is primer, intended to protect the hub in storage. I did mine when new with Hammerite and three years later they were still perfect.
Don't wait until they go rusty (as they surely will) before you paint them. Be proactive not reactive.
Interesting responses. I was unsure initially about posting, I fully realise it's an Audi forum having owned a number of quick Audi's I know how loyal owners can be. So thank you for not having a go at me. We all have our opinions and that's something we should be proud of.
First to answer the...
As the title says it's been five weeks since I parted with my much cosseted Sepang S3 Sportsback.
I'd had my S3 for three years and generally thoroughly enjoyed my period of ownership. It's only warranty visit was for paint flaking off the rear bumper after a few months.
Like some others I had...
Thanks for the comments, re some one saying understeer is only if you're driving badly. That's really not the case, on a smooth road the S3 cant achieve the corner speed that it should particular for the class of vehicle it is, the quicker you go the understeer sets in too early, try a Golf R...
Leave my S3 at an airport? Just no way, I try to avoid leaving my car in any car park. It's never been in a supermarket car park.
You dont know who's parking next to it etc etc. Bird crap on it for several weeks, oh no just add yourself on the Corsa be a lot less worry.
Appreciate all the comments.
Face lift golf interior seems an improvement, but they do depreciate. I'm limited to size as I keep my bikes and motorbike in the garage. Where I live most RS owners seem to be more mature, I suppose it depends where you are. There were a lot of issues but I'm...
It looks quite likely that I'll be leaving. I've had my S3 for three years now, other than a paint problem on the inside of the rear bumper its been faultless.
But I'm looking for a new car, sadly I wouldn't consider another S3. Whilst its a great car I've always thought that the handling...
Blimey that;s expensive. I'd sell you my S3, July 2014, Sepang Blue Sportsback in stunning almost as new condition, with a genuine 10,150 miles on the clock. One retired owner for £24,000
