Congratulations on the new car. Another Audi owner who's jumped to the dark side ! I think the 235i looks better than the 135i, especially in side profile. Certainly an S3 saloon alternative. I'm not 100% sure on either 1 or 2 series design TBH. The rear ends on both don't do them any favours...

If you want a fun car, and not a daily, don't bother with an Audi S3 or RS3. Fast, secure yes. Fun? No. I had a S3 saloon manual. The only positive for the manual, is it bring some interaction with the car. I enjoy changing gear, so I'll always pick a manual over n Auto. And fun doesn't mean it...

So it's not fixed? Your dealer sound like they are wasting time and effort. I'd be demanding a new engine if I was you.

Injectors is what was faulty with mine. Caused the piston to disintegrate. You could be looking at a new engine. If they refuse and say it's never happened before, let me know. I can give you some info to prove it's happened before

Get it check out by Audi or a specialist. I had Cylinder 1 issues, that required a brand new engine.

Glad you got it all sorted mate. Even if you are £250 out of pocket. But if that's what you would have had to pay anyway for the excess, then happy days. A lot of aggro and stress for you, but at least it all fixed now.

Set 1 for me. I personally think the original S3 alloys are one of Audi's best looking wheel designs. And it's not a wheel that is copied on every other car in the Audi range (apart from the SQ5) like the Rota's were.

Main dealers won't be interested unless is was something special or rare. Usually they only want stock that's up to 5 years old. Dealer groups have sales guys who source cars from around the UK for group stock, and they come out to your home to inspect. I've done that twice. MK7 Golf GTI & Audi...

I'd contact the police first. There must be something that states if they damage a member of the public's car during a police pursuit, you are able to make a claim. I assume if they were doing 90, they must have been with Blue lights on?

Take out the warranty. My S3 was 3 months out of warranty, and the engine went POP ! Audi could have washed their hands as the car was out of warranty. Thankfully for me the gave me a brand new engine, but (because it was out of warranty) I had to pay my local dealer to fit it. With a warranty...

And if your car is a manual, going on other peoples experience, you'll need to upgrade your clutch too.

Have you always had the car serviced there? I would argue the it should be covered by the warranty, but if they insist it's not, I'd be asking nicely for Audi to be contributing to the cost as a good will gesture. At least 50%. You could say that you have been waiting for the new A3 to come out...
