    The way that I see it, every car has their common problems, the fact that you're aware of the possibilty of something going wrong speaks volumes about how interested you are in the car. Why not buy it and do the oil pump anyway......if a pump has lasted almost 6yrs so far, is it not reasonable...

    loads of warning lights and no speedo on 2.4 c6 what could it be

    Damaged speed sendor I would say, not 100% here mind, but ABS, ESP and speedo all rely on the speed sensors for their readings.
