I used to get the same 450 - 550 miles per tank from my old 3.0 V6 (ABT tuned in Germany) as I do from my current 2.0 (totally standard) depending on driving style and city / motorway. I have to say I was surprised how uneconomical the 2.0 is compared to Audi's published figures (but we all...
Kris is your gearbox the multitronic? ..how do you find it with the extra power from the re map etc? …I'm interested in doing the same but wary that it wouldn't handle it very well.
I think mine may be the same thing, when it was working today it was speeding up then slowing down, then it stopped completely for a while. I think it's just knackered to use a technical term! Where is it located - did you find a guide anywhere to change the motor?
For the last few weeks I've been having intermittent internal fan failure (with AC either switched on or off) which I'm guessing could be imminent failure of the fan unit itself or just a loose wiring connection. Can anyone advise the best way to investigate this other than paying the garage to...
Kris is 100% right on this one. I also have disc problems mainly due to being 6'6" and the Le Mans s line doesn't help it at all. Very stiff suspension and very low getting in and out (especially with the seat adjusted all the way down). Unfortunately for my back I love the car but the next one...
I might just change the xenons and leave the halogens as standard. It's the xenon that's in use most of the time after all.
...now just to decide between nightbreakers or CBIs.
Looking good. I've got the CBI fog lamps too, very pleased with them, just can't get a decent photo to put up from the iPhone.
What is the bulb ref for the main headlights? I've got bi xenons and not sure. I'd like to go for some nightbreakers too. My halogens are weak.

They're known to not be the best of boxes. I much preferred the tiptronic in my previous 3.0 but it isn't available with the 2.o. Sort of wishing I'd gone for another V6 if I'm honest but that's a whole different conversation!
Could well be worth it then. Mine does exactly the same when stopped with brakes on in drive sometimes and I also tend to drop it into neutral. No idea why it happens but I'm not loosing any sleep over it!
Personally I wouldn't worry at that mileage. Get the multitronic oil changed though if it hasn't already been done. Is there a limit on the amount you can claim for any one problem?
