    Injector seals /kit

I bought these off eBay and they worked perfectly fine, https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183270332774 there are two nuts holding the injector into place, if the seals have gone for some time the injector will be stuck quite bad and you will need...

2.7 TDI Injector Fuel return nipple

Okay so time for a follow up, I hope this helps anyone in the future. I have the earlier injectors so the fuel leak off port is detatchable from the injector head, newer injectors are made from one piece. I had diesel leaking from the leak off port thats part of the injector and the fuel...

2.7 TDI Injector Fuel return nipple

Il post one up tomorrow I found a video online .the L shaped fuel return nipple is on the injector itself not part of the fuel return pipe. I have an early injector with suffix S part number. The fuel leak off nipple came off the actual injector itself in the video you can see how it’s not one...

2.7 TDI Injector Fuel return nipple

Hi, I was replacing the injector seals on my 2.7 Tdi A6, however while doing so on two of the injectors I accidently took off the L shaped fuel return nipple. Now I can clip them back on to the injector however when running the engine they leak fuel. Are the injectors ruined now or is there a...

    Consumes too much diesel

If you want the best car for mpg buy a golf 1.9 tdi with no DPF, 105 bhp version. Those things will do 40 mpg in town driving even from cold. There are newer engines eg 1.6 tdi but if the purpose is to save money then buying the older 1.9tdi is better. Almost 0 depreciation and it’s a simple...

    Turbo question

Hi, Its fixed now, the problem was due to sticking turbo vanes, it was sticking in the open position, and somtimes in the closed position. The turbo I bought was a reconditioned unit, It should have been fully refurbed including cleaning, new cartridge, balanced, calibrated and flow tested...

    Turbo question

I have had the turbo inspected by the company I bought it off. They replaced the actuator and calibrated the new one again, I recall a number 82% on the final cycle after this was done. He said the turbo was getting stuck on the top position. However this has not fixed the problem. The garage...

    Consumes too much diesel

Yeah, 20-25 seems about right with an average of 6mph. I meant “Stop Start” traffic not engine. Good idea to change fuel filter as I’ve seen mpg go up on mine by 3-4mpg after changing it. What did you drive before this. Problem with an a6 is it’s a heavy car. it’s like driving a golf with an...

    Consumes too much diesel

What sort of driving, it’s about right for stop start cold engine. If you live in city and do less than 10 miles and it’s all traffic you will get 25 mpg. Motorway should be high 40’s sticking to 70mph. Post average speed up.

    Intermittent power loss

This is how my turbo blew up, I think excess heat caused a vane to snap and be ingested by the exducer turbine

    Intermittent power loss

I have the same issue, read my thread I fitted a refurbed turbo onto mine and I think the actuator needs coding. This must be done via VAS tools or ODIS. I’ve uploaded a video of my actuator movement which shows the rod hitting the stop screw.

    Turbo question

Just following up, I have noticed when unplugging the connector to the turbo and replugging it the actuator stutters at the top position when going through its movemement. I have read online it is possible to adjust the turbo via loosening the 3 10mm bolts holding the actuator to the bracket and...

    Turbo question

So I have now replaced the Turbo, however new faults have cropped up. The reconditioned turbo is p/n 059 145 715E The car drives really well and it feels like theres more power and its smoother, than with the previous turbo before it became faulty. I am however getting Fault codes below, and...

    Turbo question

hi the turbo on my 2.7 tdi 2005 a6 has died. I’ve bought a new gtb1756 for it but this is the wrong turbo, there appears to be a bv50 with the VDO actuator on it. I thought all 2.7 tdi’s have the gtb1756 turbo with hella actuator. Is this correct?

    Heater fan

Yeah sounds like motorbushes worn try giving the bottom of dash a big knock see if it works again, or go over a speed bump fast. You must access through the front near wipers, not from the dash board.

A6 Avant 2.7 TDI Le Mans stalling issue

What the mileage on it, I read on a forum somewhere of a similar fault that was due to the intake being so full of carbon and crap it was suffocating the car and when the clutch was biting without giving it revs it would stall.

    Remap 2.7 180bhp

What sort of difference would a remap make, Ive been thinking of doing it to my FWD 2.7 tdi manual for some time. I’d like to know how the car feels after not really interested in the numbers. My car just feels really flat up till about 1800-2000 rpm. Any experiences? Also would a remap kill the...

What wheels are these and why do they look lost in the arch?

Ah I just had a closer look at the wheels and yes those aren’t speedlines they are some rip off speedlines XD. If the rear shocks and springs are okay I’d just fit the s lines to the front should Help make things look more even.

What wheels are these and why do they look lost in the arch?

Looks like SE springs and shocks up front and s line spring and shocks at rear, as the car is an s line, I guess. The wheel are Audi BBS speedline 19 inch and they are split rims and should be silver from factory.
