    Leaky Footwell / bonnet catch

you need some interior trim removal tools but you don’t need to drop the whole headliner pop off the a pillar trim (mind the airbag!) and remove the drivers sun visor and grab handle and you’ll be able to pull the headliner down far enough to get at it

    Leaky Footwell / bonnet catch

Most likely coming from your sunroof. I had the same issue with my A6. Tried sealing it with Captain Tolley and it still leaked :( You'll need to drop the headliner to see exactly where it's coming from. The frame develops a crack and therefore water bypasses the drains and makes its way...

    Judder when accelerating any thoughts?

Honestly can't remember as it was about 3 years ago I had the issue and I sold the car last year. Might have been 300/400 miles?? I booked it in fairly swiftly.

    Rhyso's Family Wagon

I initially had the same thoughts but after having spent nearly a week inside the interior quality is excellent and the controls etc are in just the right place. The only thing catching me out is the starter button location; i keep reaching for the centre console lol In terms of driving...

    Rhyso's Family Wagon

So tonight will be the final entry for the A6. Tomorrow it is being part exchanged for a BMW 330d Xdrive Touring. Why? The last few months have seen the steering fault rear its head again alongside a few other electrical issues. It’s quite possible the battery is at fault but I’ve gone past...

    The Black Edition

Yes you have to remove the bumper to access the grille. The grille is held in place by approx 20 clips; you’ll need a couple of pairs of hands and several flat edge screwdrivers!!

Anyone running a shorter rear number plate?

I don’t run a shorter plate but I do use velcro to attach my front number plate Use that or double sided sticky tape :)

    Remapped!!!

Via the cars CANBUS systems. By removing the ECU you interface directly to it using the appropriate pin out positions To write the file via OBD can vary between 10-20 minutes depending on the car. I know my own A6 takes just under 20 minutes to write the file to the ECU. Writing directly to...

    Dpf deletes...

The DPF on the 3.0 is visible; it’s in the engine bay right under the scuttle panel I’ve looked at these but always dubious about the quality??

Going to be my first ever Audi

No you fit the wheel yourself; takes 5 minutes to do it :) Best thing is you know it will fit! No messing around trying to find a different shape airbag etc i paid £100 deposit on top of the price. They send you a wheel. Remove your old wheel, fit new wheel and send your old wheel back to...

OP answered the question above :) Not entirely sure about it being quicker mind although the ECU on the A6 is far more accessible than other cars!

    Judder when accelerating any thoughts?

Expensive day out for you mate :( From the research I did it seems common for the injector seals to go on these engines from 75k onwards......another service item to add to the list!!
