If both are not working I would suspect either a faulty switch or fuse. If both mirror glasses have burnt out then that will be an expensive fix as you have the dimming function as well which ups the price significantly.

If that is the original battery then it almost certainly is a contributing factor, if not the issue itself. If you do a direct like for like replacement then you can usually get away wothout having to recode the battery the car
