im pretty sure this isnt a vcds thing - its coded within the ecu programming and needs a remap to remove the function, along with a physical blanking plate - thats certainly the case with later PD cars that ive had
its a clone - not legit
vcds is updated constantly - the current verison is 11.11 so this is already out of date and the clones cant be updated to use the latest software versions
Vag tacho is a different product to Vag commander. Not much experience of it but it doesn't seem to work With many cars and commander would be better to get six and immo codes

all of these versions are cracked, old and limited in terms of function and connection - its a chinese clone of a very old hardware/software package. before they changed hardware, commander was up to version 7 then they changed to avdi hardware (which has already been copied by the chinese but...

it cant do any harm - you can easily change back to 25, you may not have a pull-down choice in vcds, but can directly edit the 2 digit number in the box then save the results
should be central electics, long coding, byte 18 your car should be 2B for usa style drl, if it is then change that byte to 2C to turn on the rear lights as well with the drl
i dont think it works on the 8L - there is no central electrics module in the same way as the 8p
on my b5 the drl was an option in Scandinavia - i added a relay and switch that bypassed the lights switch by copying the wiring diagram for the scan /usa model - all wiring was done at the light...
