    ******...should have specified in my post that I was talking about torque and not power ;-/Have to add though that the 6hp28 in mine sounds no better than the previous generations.

    That torque graph is not correct.Peak torque should not occur only at 3000rpm, but should hold peak from approx 1800rpm till 3000rpm.

    500 to 550 seems to be the limit.
