Exactly what Evil said. Audi found themselves in a position where they had no choice but to make the S4 S5 S6 and S7 diesel based on new regs over the whole range. But also wasnt it handy that Porsche stopped diesels and so all those pre-planned 3.0 diesels needed a home. Win win. Other markets...

They annoy me too. An S Audi shouldn't have fake pipes. It's just cost cutting. Plus having 4 pipes working wouldnt release any more fumes than 2.

Know exactly what you mean. Almost nothing of interest now in Audis range bar a few RS models. My S5 goes back end of July, although I'm open to an early return if I find THE next car, but I literally have no clue what's next. S cars going diesel rules them all out and having driven the new S4...
