Not trying to be funny but I think they only light up if headlights are on.
I remember my first new Audi and thought something wrong with dash 2min after delivery and I drove back to dealers and the boy came out and told me buttons and dash only lights up if headlights are on auto or on. Felt...
I think it depends on if you use the rails to hold things like bikes and roof box.
If you do I would avoid the wrap as you will be increasing the thickness of the bars for the roof rack to go on and creating another layer of stuff that’s not meant to there for the rack mounts. Nothing worse...
Surely if there’s a will there’s a way. if someone was really dodgy they could amend everything that stores mileage.
No different to old school way of disconnecting Speedo cable or putting in reverse.
Not sure if you can see but these are 18x8 et42 running 225/40/18 winter tyres. Not a huge amount of wiggle room.
I would stick the wheel on without tyre and gauge how much you got to play with on the 8.5in wide wheel on the fronts. Rears at 8in should be fine.
If it’s off an a3/s3 they should be 8in wide and should be fine on a sportback as I was running saloon wheels on my sportback for my winters in 18s.
If it’s off an rs3 they should be 8.5in wide and on 19in wheels on the fronts and might rub depending on the tyres used.
For a 5 year old tyre I would say they are due for replacement regardless of cracking. Rubber drys and cracks as they age.
mine started to shows signs of cracking within a year so that wasn’t quite right.
That looks half worn already
My experience with Contis in other cars is they wear quickly but generally good tyres. Michelin seems to last longest.
That’s unfortunate. I was lucky with Pirelli. They just sent new tyres to the nearest Pirelli centre and they just fitted it and sent the old ones back so Pirelli could test them.
I would contact Pirelli directly.
as I said they were great to deal with and they came out to my work to check the tyres then decided to replace them. That way it didn’t cost me a bean. Sounds like your tyre place wants another sale. Pirelli has a centre that can fit tyres and do tracking and...
It’s worth speaking with Pirelli. They are great to deal with. I had a set replaced a while ago but mine was under a year old, on a new car factory fitted, and they were cracking in the tread blocks.
I would say on a 2 year old set of tyres it’s a bit more difficult to prove mileage and use and...
