One of the few reasons I won't be buying another Audi after this FL RS3 which i'm already in two minds wether to sell or not while the prices are still good on these cars and i'm on low miles with good optional extras.
It just seems Audi have become lazy on the RS3 I feel, I know its basically...
Works out at £482 delivered give or take a few quid according to the gov.uk website so what was cheap suddenly becomes borderline expensive. Still half the price of 034 motorsports or IE engineering etc.
Let us know how you get on with a custom fabrication, id be interested :icon thumright:
CTS do a kit for both PFL and FL. I'm looking at these myself for the FL and also cant justify paying stupid money for something which essentially wont add much, if any HP over the stock intake. I'm purely looking for a bit more noise from the turbo and CTS seems to be a good option at less then...
I found this out the other month, very clever but I also didn't have a clue what was going and couldn't figure it out. What made it worse was i'd just come off a 12 hour night shift so I just put it down to being tired but then eventually it clicked :scared2::icon thumright:
Saw this earlier on youtube, Fantastic car. If you don't mind me asking how much was the full Turbo back Exhaust? Decat? Sounds ace! Love the black badges on Nardo too! I need to get mine on. :icon thumright:
This is one of the reasons I sold my 2016 TTS after 3 months of ownership, The DSG farts were nice but the actual sound of the engine is pants and sounds like a 2 stroke moped.
Give me that 997 anyday :hubbahubba:

Pages 2 and 3. I bought a set for my 8P RS3 after seing this and they looked spot on but not tried them on my facelift yet.
I saw something on Iroz Motorsports in the US saying that the second rattle you're referring to is actually the turbo wastegate and not a rattle of some kind in the exhaust from the valves or anything else like we all thought even though it sounds like it and the only way to solve the issue is...
I've noticed this over the past few weeks and wondered why but like you say, slowly put the power down and its totally different. Very strange - I would have thought it would be the other way round.
Full of nothing but knowledge you lot :icon thumright: Appreciate the replies, puts my mind at rest. I'd rather keep the stop/start then disabling it fully as I do use it from time to time albeit a rare occasion but I just wasn't sure if it was normal behaviour for the RS3 because my previous...
Afternoon AS!
I've noticed on my RS that when I leave the stop/start on and I'm slowing down to a set of traffic lights for instance, the car will turn off even though I haven't fully come to a stop. It'll do it between 3-5 MPH and I'm left rolling 1-2 feet while the engine isn't operational...
After reading about the flaking tips on this thread, I had a look at mine last week and mine also have started on the sports exhaust and I've only covered 1700 miles, rather disappointing to say the least.
As for the exhaust rattle, Are you sure it rattles only on start up? Mine rattles on...
Good News! Can you post a video clip of your new exhaust for us, I'm still in two minds as to go to Audi or not from the experiences people have received on here from Audi. Do you have a part number of any sort for the replacement part? :icon thumright:
That exhausts sounds a lot better then the old one but you can still hear the rattle, it hasn't disappeared completely. I'd be happy for Audi to replace mine with the one above, as long as its still the RS sports exhaust.
