The RS3 will soon be back on the UK configurator (I believe by the end of this month) as it is wltp compliant with the OPF. You may as well wait and spec it the way you want.

Not yet, although have been thinking about it :) Yep it is, I guess we just have to get used to it in post WLTP world. Cars just wont sound the same anymore.

I still think the FL RS3 sounds great even without the pops and bangs. If anything it sounds a bit louder lower down the rev range.

Yep no more DSG bangs. I agree, love it from my FL S3 it makes it stand out more. Strangely, it still has the crackles on the overrun even with the OPF. There was a video posted on on the A3/S3 8V forum of a Golf R with the OPF. Wonder how the RS3 will sound now

Well according to the guys that have the OPF on the MY 19 S3's it no longer farts on the up-shifts and sounds quieter than the FL S3 that did not have the particular filter. We will just have to see how the sound is once it is out.

I think i would the have to check the boot space first. Length and width wise i know its the same but height wise i only have a few inches spare with the S3 saloon boot with the pram in the back. Going from a FL S3 saloon to FL RS3 saloon I am not sure its a big enough jump, of course its faster...

A bit off topic here, but noticed the torque on the MY19 S3 is now 480 NM from 400 before whereas PS has gone gone down to 300. Seems strange that the torque would be 80 NM higher on the 19 S3? Also 0-62 is down 0.1 sec to 4.7 secs and weight has increased to 1490 kg from 1470 kg. Wonder if the...

Nah it will still be Haldex, probably just tweaked for more rear bias. As for the RS3, out of my price league at the moment. Might pickup up a used one in the future but got a S3 Saloon coming next month :smile new:
