Make sense, do you not have a steering wheel with those controls on it as they will still work with these units and with the option to custom program buttons or if not think about upgrading the steering wheel if not, I'm sure that would be easier some how and be a cleaner look.

If you buy a decent make like Joying I don't think this will be an issue otherwise you will have to go the speaker output to RCA route which will get rid of the engine noise.

You may not need anything for Bose it's just sometime you get engine noise in the system so you need to suppress it out. For satnav try Waze its a great gps app. Torque is a great app and you can scan the car for faults and have like a GTR dials setup reading different parts of the engine.

Yeah some systems are setup for Bose some the other way round.

Intake it you are none Bose so you will need one PAC to run off the speaker output signal to run the rears. Amazon tends to be the cheapest place to buy them. The systems are now setup to run Bose and Bose use a low output signal which in a none Bose system the signal will not be strong enough...

That part is plug and play, its when you have Bose and none Bose that things can get tricky because the rear speakers in none Bose tend not to work but there are ways round that and some units are not geared up for Bose but there are ways round that too.

The noice surpresor just needs and earth and a connection to the HU amp blue lead and it will connect in between the rca output to the rca inputs on the main power plug and bingo all done bar the arial and gps leads. Therr are adapters to use the cars internal gps if you have a look.

Just a little update, have now upgraded the software to Android Lollipop 5.1 and installed a Joying DAB+ USB dongle and will be looking to install a 4 port DC powered USB2 hub later next month.
