Speakers Clipping/Cutting/Crackly after installing Pioneer AVH x8800BT

Yes. You’ve got the exact setup as I do. I got this fascia: https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ct23au08-audi-a3-8p-8pa-model-black-double-din-car-stereo-fascia-fitting-adaptor.html Then this adapter...

Do you have a Bose or non Bose setup? I’ve done a double din conversion too.

Give Dynamic Sounds a call if in doubt. They are based in Wandsworth.

Speakers Clipping/Cutting/Crackly after installing Pioneer AVH x8800BT

Usually this type of issues arise when you use poor double din adapters/components. What adapter are you using? I’m using the setup from Connects2 with zero issues.

Which harness adaptor do i need?

It would really help if you provided more context to your question. What car? Model? Year? What was the original stereo? Concert/Chorus/RNS-E. Was it single or double DIN? Was it BOSE or non BOSE? Do you have a subwoofer in the back? For example: -...

    Phone holder

I have this: https://www.oem-mounts.com/product/audi-a3-8p and it’s brilliant. The magnet is really strong and holds the phone nice and steady.

Audi concert (single din ISO) non Bose but rear amplified Speakers to Audi concert Quadlock

@aqibi2000 What was your solution? I may buy a second hand Dension Bluetooth module that comes with the quadlock connector. I have Concert II (single DIN, ISO non Bose with amp in the back) and was thinking of using a iso to quadlock adapter to hook up the Dension adapter (I know, too many...

    Updating to a DAB stereo....any ideas which?...2009 A3

Out of curiosity what’s the big deal with DAB? Any integration usually is upwards of £150 and aren’t you better off just steaming Internet radio? Unlimited data plans are affordable enough these days, no? Just as an example on iPlayer radio you’ll get 320 Kbps AAC vs 128 Kbps on DAB. The story...

    Android RNS-E

Should also mention that it was a royal PITA to remove it. Lesson, never lock the unit in if there’s a chance you’ll take it out again!

Don’t think I’ll try another Xtrons unit. Probably can my whole double DIN conversion project for now unless one of the newer CarPlay units catches my fancy [emoji28]

    Android RNS-E

Picked up the unit today and hooked it up. Sadly the primary use case for me, playing music via Bluetooth wasn’t that great. The sound (and after playing with the equaliser) was poor compared to the Bluetooth FM transmitter I have today! Additionally there was occasionally crackling noise in the...

Bit the bullet and ordered an Xtrons unit today. Will report back when I have it. I have an 2005 A3 without Bose.

Here’s a photo of DPM’s setup. Looks fine to me. Do you think it could be because of the facia being used?

I wonder if anyone knows if the build quality is better in the Symphony style units as opposed to the RNS-E style ones?
