Definitely see if you can try both. My own car has Bose and I think it's great. I've got a car at the mo while mine is at the stealers and it doesn't have Bose and I dont think the sound is as 'full'. As AndyMac says it's an odd topic - some people love it, others hate it - a bit like Marmite!

You're right, you need to select CD 6, then select track 2 from CD 6. What you then must do is hold down fast forward (or the equivalent button that does fast forward on that unit) for a few seconds. If you've done it right, the iPod interface should then spring to life :).
Dension do some good kits that use the standard radio connections and the mounts they provide are I think compatible with the new Nano. Using a Brodit mount as well will mean you can mount it on the car without any drilling etc.
