The Ebay link says that you can download your phonebook onto the headunit, after downloading your phonebook, would the names show up as well as the phone numbers?

    Used Dension gateway 100 question

I might have one kicking around in the garage somewhere. Give me a day or so to look for it and I'll upload a photo to see if it's the one you're after. I'm sure it was for the Dension 100.

    Price of rsne fitting

In which case, it's just fitting, possible wiring loom (can't be sure) and coding. Anyone with VAGCOM can do the coding for you. Fitting it is pretty much pulling out your old unit and putting the new one in (subject to wiring harness).

    Price of rsne fitting

Depends on what you already have. If you currently have single DIN, then you will need the double DIN cage, double DIN heater controls (or cut yours down to fit), RNSE, wiring loom and coding. If you don't have any of those, then you need to budget for all of the above, plus fitting. No one...

Looks good, glad you got it sorted in the end.

What other cables/connectors do i need for this setup?

I was about to ask you about the mute function as to whether or not it was activated. I'm at a loss, the only other thing I could think of was wired up wrong, but it could be a faulty unit or faulty loom. Stupid question, but did you crank the volume on the headunit up?

What other cables/connectors do i need for this setup?

In which case, I believe that the blue plug would be for a cd changer or aux input. Have you plugged the rca plugs from the new harness into the back of your new headunit?

What are the 4 wires on the new harness for? Is one of them groung/earth?

This wiring diagram should help you out a bit. What headunit did you have on your car before changing to this one?

What other cables/connectors do i need for this setup?

Do you or did you have a cd changer in the car previously? If I remember correctly, the blue plug was either for a cd changer (wiring may still be present behind the glovebox or in your centre console, by handbrake) or it could be for an auxillary input. I may be wrong though, someone (an A3...

What other cables/connectors do i need for this setup?

I saw that headunit in Halfords the other day and took a liking to it. I was tempted in doing a double DIN conversion for that headunit alone, but will await your feedback before I proceed. :icon_thumright:

    iPod help

Possibly, it's hard to tell. Worst case scenario is that you get an error on your headunit displaying NO CDC. To be honest, for a few quid more, you can get a second hand dension unit from ebay and they are pretty much plug and play.

    iPod help

That needs to be wired into a switched/ignition live (in the fuse box) as otherwise your ipod may drain your car battery unless if unplug it after getting out of the car.
