    Changer control on Audi Chorus

Does it have a "CD" button? On the Concert II the "CD" button toggles between the onboard CD and the changer.

    Phatbox question.... 2

£130 sounds a good deal to me. For that kind of money I may have opted for the Phatbox as well. Why is it that we pay so much more for this sort of stuff in the Netherlands than you guys do in the UK?

    Phatbox question.... 2

[ QUOTE ] but what would be best , phatbos or solisto ?? chris [/ QUOTE ] What would be best.... That is not an easy question to answer. It all comes down to what fits your needs, avaliability, and price. In my case the Phatbox was going to be quite an expensive option because it is a US...

    Phatbox question.... 2

I just installed a Solisto which is quite similar to the Phatbox, ony it uses USB memory sticks instead of a hard disk as storage. Also it is very easy to install. Have a look at how I did it: http://members.chello.nl/p.boelen/solisto/ Obviously the Phatbox can hold a lot more songs, but...

    A3/S3 Stealth sub

Does anybody know how to remove the side panel in the boot of an 8P? I am inspired by AndyMac and would like to attempt building a stealth sub for my own Sportback. It's just the fact that I have to dismantle a part of my car that slightly worries me. I definately don't want to damage anything...

    Major Concert Problem

Great, everything is done now. The solisto is nicely tucked away behind the glovebox and I now have a USB cable inside the glovebox. I have made some photos of the installation and written up a how-to. Check out this link: http://members.chello.nl/p.boelen/solisto/

    Major Concert Problem

Okay, just jumped in and did it. Thank god the radio came out without a problem. I played around a bit with the removal keys after the radio was out to see how the mechanism works and I can understand how easy it is to f*ck things up. It seems to me that I it was just pure luck that my radio...

    Major Concert Problem

[ QUOTE ] When it feels like it's all the way in then pull the HU forward using a little finger inside the tape deck. You're supposed to be able to pull on the keys when they've clicked into place, but I found they didn't click and pulling on them was part of the cause of knackering the clips...

    Major Concert Problem

[ QUOTE ] The angled side of the keys point towards the middle of the HU [/ QUOTE ] Thanks. That's what I expected. So to recapulate: I just stick 'm in and pull the radio out? No moving sideways or anything?

    Major Concert Problem

I have just bought a set of removal keys (boy are they difficult to get hold of in Holland!) because I am going to connect a Solisto mp3 player to my Concert II. I am not sure if the ones I got are original Audi though. They are made by a German company called AIV (www.aiv.de). This is a picture...

    MP3 USB box for Audi/VW

I ordered the Solisto. I know the phatbox and ipod can hold far more music, but the solisto fits my purposes perfectly and should be very easy to install. Anyway, I went to two dealers today to get the removal keys for the Concert 2 only to find out that they don't sell them. I am amazed at the...

    MP3 USB box for Audi/VW

[ QUOTE ] It's a nice idea, but as the CD changer doesnt carry ID TXT, its a bit dumb for users, at least the phatbox gives you voice navigation. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed, the absense of any text info is big miss, but that is something that all devices that use the changer port have to live with...

    MP3 USB box for Audi/VW

I just came across this: www.solisto.de It is a mp3 box that connects to the CD changer connection of the radio and it takes standard USB storage devices (memory sticks, disk drives). Looks very promising. A lot cheaper than the Phatbox, easier to install and USB memory sticks are a lot...

    Concert + Phone + ICE>Link

I've had something similar happen on my original Nokia carkit, but that was because the phone wasn't seated in the cradle properly. It did get power from the cradle, but the audio and/or mute pins were not making proper contact.

My Bose has lost its base

I would love to have the AndyMac sub, but I own a Sportback and of course it wouldn't fit. I could always make my own sub, but I dread taking the car apart. Also, knowing dutch dealers, the warrenty would be invalidated even by having a screwdriver within 10 yards of the car. Maybe I'll wait...

    Bose / MP3 Question

Does it require re-coding of the HU? I currently don't have a CD changer at all, so would my Concert II see the Sony? Also, could I just order a new glovebox and will the sony fit in there? Or is it possible to mount a CD changer in a standard glovebox. How much is a new glovebox anyway?

Tom Tom - Hardwired into car

DHL delivered the Arkon kit last night and I'm happy to say that it fits the A3's round vents fine! Still undecided which vent is the best. At the moment I'm trying it on the passenger side one, but I think I'll change it over to the diver side one. The holder can also rotate so I can use the...
