Michelin PS3 they didnt last long

I dcrive 12,000 miles a year amd 70% is motorway so dont get it, I reckon the Michelin PS3's will do about 11,000 before being illegal but I normally change them at 2mm. I got 14,000 out of the Goodyear Asym in the past and saw far less of the traction control light too, so will be going for a...

Michelin PS3 they didnt last long

They lasted 9,000 miles on the front of the S3, not impressed had much better life from the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics. The new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymetrics v2 have just been launched, looks good. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is here | the online tyre guide...

A/C Service Audi dealer advising to have it done during service

My S3 is 4 years old and they said it should be done evry 2-3 years to ensure maximum efficiency and avoid failures and reduce excess load on the system. I have always replaced my cars after 2-3 years and never had this done in the past. Anyone else had this done or have any advice if its...

Haldex issues do you get dashboard lights

I am about to book in my S3 to get the Haldex checked out, I thought it was my new tyres but I believe there are known issues with pump failure where the car returns to 2WD. I am losing traction quite a bit and seeing the ESP light flash up. If you have a failure of this nature and it goes in...

Michelin PS3 review, not sure it suits the S3!

I cant believe they would be so sensitive, when you have fronts at say 4mm and the reers at 7mm it never did it and I cant believe the grip on the PS3 in the dry is loads worse ! Who knows very odd.

Michelin PS3 review, not sure it suits the S3!

I have now completed 1000 miles with the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres on the front. I had the existing Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric tyres moved to the back during the PS3 fitting, they had 6mm left so a good comparison. Pros:- Softer sidewalls make the ride slightly more comfortable over...

    Lots of balancing weights

Had the new Michelin PS3's fitted on Friday, review to follow. I was watching the guys balancing the wheels, he spun it up about 3 times to get it right, seems to be a lot of weights added! When do you have to worry about the wheel being ****** ? I have marked on the attached picture where they...

I can confirm the Michelin PS3 tyre has a rim protector of the identical size maybe even bigger than the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym

Anyone gone from Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym to Michelin PS3

It will be a very fair comparison as I have been driving on the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym on the front for ages and the ones I had up front had 5.5 mm left. I had to ask twice to swap front and rears so the PS3 were on the front, usual speel about new best tyres should be on the rear which I dont...

Anyone gone from Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym to Michelin PS3

Ia m in the same dilema, previously rotated tyres and now need new rears but front have about 5mm left on them. I have the Goodyears all round but after problems with vibration on my current set and very poor customer service from Goodyear ithe Michelins seemed a good option. Suspect I will get...

Anyone gone from Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym to Michelin PS3

Seems to be lots of good reviws on the Michelin but the true test would be the thoughts from someone who has made the move. The PS3 looks far more wet weather orientated that the F1, it has massive grooves in it

    Considering new Michelin PS3

I had been very pleased with what seemed to be the tyre of choice the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymertric but the customer service trying to resolve what appeats to be a faulty tyre has been appaling. So wanted to try another brand and always like the idea of the PS2 but the PS3 seems even better...
