    Revo PCV Upgrade

Could you not pipe the rear crack case breather into the catch can along with the Pcv? Then the one return line will maintain the positive crank case pressure? Thats the one question I have about catch can kits to be honest, once the whole pcv assembly is removed and replaced with the blanking...

S3 running lean after CAI... Code P0171

Yeah, Stage 2 and over seems fine, that's what makes me wonder if the mapping isnt right for the intake, maybe the fuel trims are going out of range because it can't adjust far enough to compensate for the increase in airflow. Ill have to find somone who can do some logs to see what's...

S3 running lean after CAI... Code P0171

Thanks! I had wondered, haven't driven spiritedly since the light came on. What do you think is the best thing to do? I don't know why this hasn't happened to everyone with a CAI, admittedly I have made my CAI but have made the maf section the same cross sectional area, and used the itg g60...

S3 running lean after CAI... Code P0171

Hi, I've just fitted a CAI to my s3, ran a dtc check today and it's given P0171 which is fuel trim: too lean. According to ross tech, common cause is intake leak obviously meaning lots more air getting in which sounds right with the new CAI. Has anyone else had similar issues? I'm hoping to...

    Intake pipe

Out of interest Greg how did it break? Only I've recently fitted a CAI to my S3 and when i removed this pipe it was split! Just worth noting if there's a pattern to it because its not something that gets looked at too often due to the engine cover being such a pain to get off

New user - new car s3 8P2 - few questions! Oil catch etc

Fair enough, Only thing thats nagging at me is I took off the pcv valve and found some clean oil, whereas when I took off the crankcase breather pipe (The one on the far right port of the forge plate on cornrattles' pic above) thats the one which is full of black crusty carbon s**t!?

New user - new car s3 8P2 - few questions! Oil catch etc

Okay, bit confused now why does the forge catch can kit only have the two pipes connected to where the Pcv valve goes? Theres no sign of one taking the oil from the rocker cover breather or the crankcase breather? Or are they meant to be left alone?

New user - new car s3 8P2 - few questions! Oil catch etc

Thanks a lot for the replies all. S3Alex or corn rattle do you have a pic of your forge system to give me an idea where I need to be looking? Im an agricultural engineer by trade and just think that any crap like that should never go near the internals of such a precision engineered price of...
