Using your 'logic'... you should be arguing against everything that increases the power/performance of an engine, as Audi and Bosch/etc/etc have worked together to have a car running as it does when it comes out of the factory, not with 20% more power.
No way should your car be higher since fitting the Eibach pros. Something must be wrong.
You sure you've got the correct springs for your car/engine/etc?
You use that code to find the pads. It corresponds to a size.
Go to eurocarparts website, search for pads for your car, click on one of the results and you'll see similar type codes quoted in the description. You just need to keep looking until you find one that carries your code.
What were...
As mentioned above... Your brake codes will be on the sticker in your service book or on your chassis.
Have you deciphered all of your codes using the link provided yet?
A4/A5 offset and width suit A3s much more than the standard size wheels.
You need to lower the car to see the improved look though, otherwise it all looks a bit 'moon buggy'
Hi Sandra... I've still been lurking. Yep, still enjoying the car, don't get a chance to do many miles so the novelty still hasn't fully worn off yet.
And yep, missing everyone. Apart from Voorhees, of course. ;)
Bit of an update for those who are interested:
No mods to the car yet, still standard but a REVO stage 1 is coming later this month.
Went on my first Scirocco meet at the weekend. Not the biggest turn out as it was a London/Essex meet, but was a good day.
We've got access to North Weald air...
I had the same on my A3..... it was the steering rack. If the noise is coming from anywhere within your rack then its a replacement job. Mine had to be replaced (car had done less than 40k miles), luckily under warranty... otherwise its almost a grand fitted if my memory is any good.
Audi do...
A3 engines flap about all over the place, so the movement you are seeing could be normal.
Are you getting any knocking when accelerating at low speeds? This is usually a good sign of your mounts being knackered.
Compare your car to my old A3.... Link in my signature. Look at the later photos after it was lowered with eibach sportlines for comparison.
The sportline springs are 10mm shorter on rears than the fronts. Check your fitter hasn't fitted them back to front lol.
Haven't go a clue about the part number of the bonnet. Gotta be careful when buying, the cross over is 2005 I think, but you'll find some will be from a split grille and some from a single. Finding the correct bonnet is a bit of a minefield... a few times on here people have been misinformed by...
A couple of reasons..... It's only the S3 that has side skirts and they probably wouldn't run flush with the 'less deep/low' s-line bumpers. Also they're a b*tch to get hold of and I think quite a b*tch to fit.
