I used SMDs for my cabin throughout, including Q3 climate unit. Kept red to match the red touches in my RS. My cabin has changed a little bit since this as I have dechromed EVERYTHING…. And changed the stitching from silver to red throughout.

Going back to the ecu is not necessary. Everything can be converted within the steering wheel by going in between the airbag connector and connector at the top of the wheel. The LIN I have is attached. Mine was single stage now dual.

Correct. My application I’m using both start button and drive select button for 2 different functions so 2 relays. Start/stop is sent via a wireless signal. LIN converter is also required for dual stage airbag conversion.

Way too long to go through it all to be honest. This is fitted in my 8P. Pre facelift yes doable.

It gets a lot of bad reviews but that’s because people don’t buy the impedance converters to get rid of any unwanted interference. It’s hands down a game changer above the dated RNSE units. Xtrons is the head unit. Wireless carplay with Apple devices and wired with android.

Finished of US spec centre console with 8V wireless charger, signal booster, cup holder lighting and moved 12V to the boot as per oem. Also fitted TTRS 8S wheel with all associated wiring - drive select operating the S button. Currently away for paint and then to be rebuilt.
