Thanks but the link doesn't seem to work but I've tried gumtree shpock etc although I've spotten a golf 18" space saver with the inserts and tool kit for £90 delivered and as new so might go for that if delivery is still available in these troubled times!

I'm after a straight 18" Rotor alloy wheel in the Nottigham area as I had a blow out on a roundabout and had to drive 50m without a front tyre, I can't find anywhere open to repair the wheel locally so if I can get hold of a matching wheel for now at least I can get the car back on the road. I...
I've not removed the ashtray yet but it's on the list although I have replaced the cigarette lighter with a 12v plug that looks like the volume knob.
I transferred 3 2gb as cards of music last night, tried it in the car and it worked! On the display it all comes up in alphabetical order but I...
I'll have a go tonight if I get back early enough, I can always delete them and start again if it doesnt work- it might have been easier with an aux socket but for some reason mine hasn't got one (2012 A3 S line black edition)

I'm off on abit of a road trip in a few days to the EastYorkshire Coast but I haven't got round to putting any music on SD cards yet. Mine is the later model of RNSE with black bezel and chrome knobs but with the tv/cd button so have got 3 non HC 2gb cards. I've formatted them with FAT32 and...
Thanks for that, they come in a set of 4 and I need one of the front ones - I wonder if the front are all the same?

There's some wear on my drivers footwell mat and I've spotted an apparently new set for £20 but the seller isn't sure what model A3 they are for - can anyone identify from the image of one of the labels? Mine us a 2012 8p Sportback

Sorry don't know the capacity but if that's to calculate 50 50 volumes I wouldn't bother just fill with a suitable neat solution

I would imagine that auxiliary heating is electric heating that is available until the engine coolant is up to temperature or for use in addition to normal heating in extreme weather but regarding tap water, normally I fill my washer reservoirs with washer fluid and no tap water then I know it...
I had a van regassed at ATS last year (Groupon special offer only £30!) and it lasted exactly a week so I took it back and they said that by law they have to do a pressure test on it before attempting to regas so something must have happened during that week although I had done nearly 900 miles...
It looks like these are the ones to have and reasonable value too - there are quite a few of the reviews from Audi owners so I`ve ordered a couple, they`re only 2GB each but should still store 500 tracks
The Amazon link doesn`t want to work for some reason but if you do a search for Transcend...
I've not checked those yet but I found this although looks expensive - supply and demand thing I suppose?

The parking sensors and sat nav is now fitted and all works great but I have a question which has no doubt been asked no end but just need to confirm which SD cards to buy - my rnse is a later mk1 version with the cd/tv button but chrome knobs and a black bezel so I think the cards need to be...
There's been a development - I'm going to have parking sensors fitted (for the wife) so the company doing it will sort the sat nav at the same time but it's nice to know there's so much help and information available on here, just like being back on the XROC forum

I've got the GPS aerial with a magnetic fixing so that's sorted. Do you mean then that if there is a factory fitted aux socket already there it has a separate cable that plugs in at the back of the unit on its own? Otherwise where could I get the ready made up kit from?

That sounds like a good description of plug and play which would be good - I've got to buy a set of removal keys first though so probably be the weekend before I get it done

Not too bothered about the aux in really, hopefully with the sat nav being a 2012 unit I can use the larger SD cards

Thank for replies, not sure I understand the coding bit though - is it done on the sat nav display or does a code reader/laptop need plugging in?
