My Dads recently got another A3 but Black Edition this time and it's got Bluetooth.
Got his phone paired to it fine but every time you get back in the car it doesn't pick the phone up automatically. Have to turn the bluetooth on the phone off and on again before the recognises it. In my car...
Yeah it pops and crackles nicely. Even if you are just going along slowly say in traffic in 1st gear then let off the throttle it's burbling and popping away. It's quite addictive, I find myself putting the window down to hear it and turning the heated seats on to keep me warm... The good thing...
I have the JCW... what a car. The look, the noise, the performance and handling is amazing. The interior quality is pretty damn good too, I was surprised as I didn't expect it to be a patch on my A3. The leather seats are actually better quality leather than those in the A3... I know people with...
Are people that bad at driving that they need Quattro to help them out? Not being able to pull out of a junction quickly without Quattro? Seriously....?!
I had 3 years in a 2.0 TDI 170 FWD with no problems. The last year spent with it remapped too, never wanted for Quattro apart from when the...
Agreed and also perhaps to help them keep their value a bit by making them harder to get hold of? They won't want to get to the point where supply is greater than the demand though so can see why they do it to an extent.
Now that is strange as I've never heard anything but good things about Mini's when it comes to handling whether it be peoples own experiences or magazines its very highly regarded. I thought it was damn good on my test drive too. Certainly better than my A3's, I've no bias to anyone particular...
lol cheers
The thing I like though is the girly car will show up quite a lot of much more manly cars :p It's pretty quick in a straight line (0-62 in 6.5 seconds, 148mph top speed) and it handles like a go kart... ;)
Maybe if I like the next A3 I will be back! Will miss my A3, been a great...
No the S-line is my current car, I've bought a Mini John Cooper Works which I'm hoping to pick up in the next day or 2 as long as its arrived at the dealers!
Bluefin don't do a remap for the Mini Cooper S or JCW according to the listings on their site. It's got more than enough power at the moment, it's a relatively light car, I will probably get in enough trouble with it as it is!
My Dad has a 140CR Black Edition A3 coming in January so he might...
The ride is better in the S, the JCW is a bit more raw but to be honest I thought the ride was still as good if not better than my S-line. I like a hard ride anyway...
My cousin has an S so been in that and that is perfectly adequate to be honest.... but I made the mistake of driving a JCW and it's the most fun car I've ever driven. The steering, the noise, the looks... all on another level! Just a lot more hardcore driving experience, it's like a go kart...
Hi all. My A3 is going later this week to be replaced by a brand new Mini JCW... going to miss the Audi but thought it was time for a change.
I've got a bluefin remap on the A3 at the moment. Is there anyway I can legitimately sell the bluefin unit and who ever buys it can have it programmed...
Yeah I haven't actually placed the order as I don't think I want to wait that long, it's a very long time especially considering that would take it much much closer to the next generation A3 and I don't think I'm comfortable with a newer model coming out within a few months of me getting the old...
Can't decide if I should get one now or not. Been quoted June 2011. That takes the ****. I don't mind waiting 3 or maybe 4 months at a push but 7 months is ridiculous. It's a nice car but it's not some exotic piece of machinery that you buy once in a lifetime.
