Sorry for late reply, No there’s no other clips or anything else that needs removing, I’m guessing it’s just stuck on the rubber gasket, try being quite firm with it.if it breaks you can have the one i took the pic of if needed, you pay shipping but the lights yours if needed.
Hers a pic of the back of the light. There’s 4 clips you need to release. Take off the whole piece of trim breather than just pulling it down and you’ll the the others not shown in that video clip.
Thanks for your reply Nigel. I know it’s not ulez etc but was just wondering what I might expect. I can post pics of damage but will be tomorrow now as it’s dark and raining. There’s barely any damage and I thought I could swap it with one from a breakers and it would be back to perfect but...
Hi everybody.
So what I’m looking for today is a rough estimate in case I decide to sell my car. My car is an 2009 A3 2.0 tdi. I’m going to try and list as much info as possible. So recently I was hit from behind while I was stationary at a red light the damage that my car received was very...
Hi all,
It's been a while since i've posted but today have a couple of questions. I have noticed that both of my rear windows have stopped working on the rear door buttons,up and down but work fine if i use the buttons on the drivers door. i've had it all apart and cannot see any problems with...
Can somebody please point me in the right direction. I’m trying to find the window on Vcds where I can view my heated seats and the temperatures they are reaching when turning the thumb wheel. I remember in the past I could watch the temps rising as the wheel was turned.I’ve sat today for an age...
The seller of that kit is someone on here. I’ve purchased looms and puddle light kits etc from him for a long time and his service if excellent. You’ll have no problems at all.
As for your eml being on the best thing is a scan as it could be absolutely anything. check out the vcds user map and see if anyone is close to you that could help you out. And for your brakes why not just pull the wheels and have a good look or even strip down and re do the job ?
The genuine spoilers have a stud either side. Some people drill a hole in the tailgate and then treat the bare metal edge, then using nuts and washers plus some tiger seal or equivalent tighten the spoiler down. Some people cut the studs off and just use the sealer to stick it down. The choice...
The facelift was introduced around 2009. You can tell them by the indicators missing from the wings and placed into the mirrors. As for the gearboxes, not sure if they were the same but it’s very important that they have been serviced every 40,000 miles. Hope that helps a little.
You can tuck the wiring into the roof lining and run it along into the corner and then down inside the A pillar and straight into the fuse box. Then you can use a piggyback fuse and come off a switched live. It’s the way most of us here have done it.
There appears to be quite a lip on the discs so maybe would benefit with some new ones. There also seems to be a lot of miles on those pads. I think I'd replace them both and that way you know your all good for the future. it's also a good idea to do it yourself as it's a straight forward job if...
You won't need that expensive plug, just but the same connectors and re join your broken wires. those connectors are really easy to use and are cheap. If you remove your door card and then your speaker you can pull the loom back through to give you the room to make repairs.
As Leon said above, all you need is a piggyback fuse and loom, something like this and takes just a little while and is really easy to fit.
