You could have a worn oil pump or a partly clogged pickup. if the sump wasn't dropped I'd do that now and get a look. The older 1.8t had a sludging issue if certain grades of oil were used and mine went bang by blocking the oil flow to the cam chain tensioner. When we dropped the sump, just a...
Due to the fact your turbo bearings failed, and now you have a P0011 code, I'd wonder if your oil is clean, filter fresh and oil pressure good. Poor flow to the hydraulic actuator for the cams could cause rough idle and this P code. That could have killed the previous turbo. Was it flushed / new...
Not sure, if some are not connected you may just throw error codes when the ignition goes on. I'd make sure all 4 are hooked up including the one you want to recode
No I hear ya. You can get a wee torque wrench in the low range from Screwfix, under £20 I think, goes down to 5nm.

Why not check if the current numbers match now. If they don't, you may get away with just recoding one and either way at least you'll know the codings are accessible.
Yeah i might change mine this year but definitely by next year for sure. This time I'll spend more money to get a much newer motor with less miles on it. I was a bit hasty when I got this one, the money was burning a hole once my original choice fell through. (Wasn't as nice up close) and the...
Aye that's why I wanted the vagdpf app to work but sadly it doesn't. The handheld does the job now and it's good for all the other stuff, would have been easier with an app on my phone but lots of my engine OBD2 blocks won't even read in VCDS and the Bluetooth ones can't read canbus. Mines a UDS...
So yours is about 50% through its life span, maxing at 145ml or 0.145L is the limit. Mine tries each week and I do 250 miles a week but due to my commute being 20 miles each way of crawling (think London rush hour M25) traffic in Edinburgh, it never gets the chance. It's tried 5 times according...
Ah ok so 70ml for 65k, that's about bang on. The 24% doesn't make any sense unless it's the level of soot till regen time, I thought that should clear each regen to zero. I took it you meant 24% of filter lifespan.
Just read your UDS post mate, anyway the adaptation channels should still be there, only basic measuring block numbers no longer exist on yours as I'm sure you now know. Mine has mixed UDS and non_UDS modules fitted. Pain in the ****.
