Just had bearing done on front by an Audi maindealer mechanic, £120 for part, £80 fitting. Audi charge 2 and a half hours fitting at £136 an hour + part. Sounded like an aeroplane and now all is quiet again. Hub comes complete with bearing, ones advertized for peanuts on ebay are not complete...

Difference between wheelbearing and complete kit

Hi I have seen front wheelbearings for sale for about £30 and also a bearing kit for about £95. Car is an 05 2.0tdi a3. Does this mean you can buy the hub with bearing aleady fitted instead of having bearing press fitted. Has anyone fitted one or have a diagram or can explain how easy it is to...

Thats funny as the guy where i work just bought the same car on an 11 plate and he said the same, and he came from driving a 130bhp golf mk4 which he said was quicker. I havnt been out in it yet but it sounds flat from what he says. He says his one wont suffer with the dpf problems as earlier...

I just bought a set of 225 Falken's. They are directional, chunky and handle very well in wet and dry. Not noisy. 235 is size on A4. As guys stated Camskill is very cheap, sameday delivery with a bit of postage. I was advised to buy 225 size hope this helps.

    Discovered a buckled alloy wheel

Some can be repaired, better if put on rear, try www.alloywheelsdirect.net pricey but good service and genuine, i bought an original AMG rim off them with a rare offset. Or buy another of ebay and make sure it has Audi logo and Ronal stamped in rear of rim.

    Sprint blue touch up stick?

Hawfords mix up stick if you give them the paintcode and its a good match on ones ive bought in the past but as already stated stealer is the best option for a match, nice colour though and shake it well.

    Intermitant Noise on 3.2 Q

Thats wierd. I put a roofrack on my car which sounded like that, and someone put my ariel facing forward for a laugh which was well loud. If it was the fan I would have thought you would hear it on the ramp. Have you tried unplugging fan out on road (without overheating it). Wheelbearing can...

    LPG Conversion - 3.2 v6

Old systems can have leaks so its worth factoring a yearly check or a decent warranty as previously mentioned, you may need to inform insurance company but you get to keep a nice car and diesel noise is not for everyone. I worked for BOC for years who supply gas and the boys were doing diy kits...

    2nd hand buy... High milers

A3 2.0TDI 140 fash 94k turbo under warranty few months ago, police siren noise and limp mode, so drive it and give it some stick. Get some sort of warranty. On the verge of buying an A3 Black Edition 170 Quattro

DPF as far as I know should be ok as guy at work just bought exactly the same car 21k on an 11 plate and he was told the newer common rail diesel doesnt suffer the same issues as earlier ones. He does think it lacks grunt compared to his 130bhp golf he had but he will go round bends quicker!

    BOSE OR NOT ???

Agree with Quattro 1981 Bose sounds better than our M3 Hardon Karmon system, it is very clear and has enough bass for most people but different tracks on cd sound the business, like Chris Brown and "look at me now" I dont think it could get much clearer without bursting your eardrums and I...

    Any S3 Owners had a Honda S2000 ?

Hi my mate bought a brand new one 2 years ago. I have been in it and drove it hard and they are very nice and Honda's are very well made. I had an M3 at the time so I did think it lacked torque but they have to be revved which is fun as it goes to 9000rpm. They were face lifted later with a few...

The reason why we drive Audi. Enjoy

Ah RS2. Yeah lets get an old Audi 80 estate, give it 300+bhp and Porsche brakes etc and upset a few people, hence why they still sell for big bucks, I would still love to drive one!

    Bye Bye M3

Our M3 E46 stayed with the new M3 on a number of attemps from around 40mph much to the annoyance of the owner, he tried and tried and I was more suprised than anybody. M3 E46 handles better than you would think but they need to be wound up. My Subaru WRX STI RA was quicker to 80mph than the M3...
