    If it is fitted with the hydro engine mounts and the fluid has leaked this could cause erratic idle had mine done on my a6 felt the difference after a scan will pick it up

    The only other thing i can think of is the header tank cap if its not sealing 100% you could be loosing fluid that way

    To be 100% sure you can get a sniff test (pressure test) never had it done myself but i believe it changes colour if it detects carbon monoxide in your cooling system not to expensive

    If no visible sign of leaks then could be head gasket try some kseal in header tank used it a couple of times with good results if the loss of water stops then you know its head gasket

    DRL question

    Hi on my a6 the drls only work on the 0 position but these can be turned of by using the mmi system hope this helps
