As already mentioned, their are very few gentlemen around these days.
When I sold my S3 I took a £500 deposit to take the car off sale whilst we waited for my private plate to get swapped. A week later and I had received several offers of more money than I had agreed with the buyer, but a deal...
hmmmm. Sounds a little like a problem I had, check this thread http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/new-a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/107405-noises-loose-gears.html Turned out to be a problem with the rear diff.
My car was a manual, but it was basically making a clunking sound on gear changes or when...
I keep the handle from a 2 tonne jack next to my bed. Its weighty and has one of those nasty lugs pertruding from the side. I can prove I own the full jack, axle stands and chocks.
I park well away from everyone else when at the supermarket. Yet the other day i came back to find this bus parked right next to me! What is it with people?!?
As its intermittent it sounds more like a loose connection or damaged wiring to me. Have you noticed it working when going over bumps / right or left turns / speeding up or slowing down? etc etc
Could not agree more, those suggesting it is better to leave your keys in view to avoid confrontation, well the thieves want confrontation as much as you do, why do you think they operate at night? Rarely is a thief going to break into your house and come upstairs for the keys, and if they do...
Looks great but I will never understand the fashion of lowering to the point where the wheel disappears under the arch, and you have two massive gaps either side around the bottom of the arch. For me the wheel should be central to the wheelarch
I guess it's just me though as lots of people do it
That doesnt make sense though. 03 or 04, this looks like the 2007 onwards A3. I know its a replica but even the interior is the same as the 2007on
Have I missed something?
Yes, particularly with the windows down. It also feels like there is a lot of play in the transmission, eg pronounced lurching/jolting motion when applying or removing the throttle. This is almost sounding like a design fault!
Yes all done under warranty, there is a thread on here about it somewhere. They were really good about it. I thought originally that it was engine mounts, then audi said they couldn't find a problem and asked for more info. I explained the symptoms and they correctly diagnosed as a problem with...
I believe I had the exact same problem, including the damaged seals. Manifested itself by a knocking noise coming from the rear of the car when easing off the throttle at low speeds
Totally agree, except me and a mate once drove forms northants to Gateshead to look at a car for him. We got there and it was a right shed and not as described, even the wheel barings were totally shot. A wasted day and a tank of fuel, and to add to the misery we ran out of petrol on the way...
Thanks for the feedback gents. I will add some more photo's, the ones on there already were just some I had knocking about on the laptop - Car needs a good clean first lol
