Yeah it doesn't matter which direction you're turning or if you have the wheel turned part or all the way... I notice it pulling into junctions in say 2nd gear as well. It's a very wierd blip!! Hopefully nothing stage 2 + won't be able to sort :)

I've had this, but am not convinced it was the rear diff since a new one hasn't resolved the issue so thinking it could be the front diff/gearbox... Audi tell me it's just a characteristic, similar to the much louder whining noise you get when driving in 1st gear...

City driving and small journeys i get between 20 and 25mpg. Motorways and A roads i've managed 37 - 42mpg when doing speeds between 50 and 70mph...

I've had my rear diff done now, it has got rid of the whining at 60 to 70... S3 alex, i do get the noise you're talking about at low speeds in 1st and 2nd but have been told this is just a normal 4wd characteristic... Dave

Just thought i'd share this with anyone thinking of getting one.. I've had a Resonated TB system fitted to my 2007 S3 and can't believe what a difference it's made.. Since having the car re mapped back near xmas i thought the car was quite jumpy and never smooth even when trying to drive...

Would be very interested to hear the outcome of this mate. I've had mine (2007 S3 2door) in two dealerships for the same issue, both have come back and said 'yes we can hear the noise but there's nothing up, it's just tyres'. I disagree with this, the noise doesn't change depending on the road...
