    My remapping experience - ChippedUK

Hi, It was £250 for the chip-n-spin day - the 2 rolling roads and the remapping. Not sure of their "normal" prices on a non chip-n-spin day. Not sure of the figures from the other guys as I got there quite late. If anyone out there who was on the same day has their figures to post - would...

How the Hell ? Grab Handle Bolt ...

yes I wanted to remove the entire grab handle, but was worried I will never be able to get the bolt back in the holds the rear of the handle (the one under the climate control) - I have the double hight DIN stereo and there is not much room under there to get a tool to undo the bolt let alone...

How the Hell ? Grab Handle Bolt ...

unable to align the bolt with the hole - it is very strange - when looking directly down from the top I can sometimes align the bolt top with the hole but it is about 4mm from the actual hole i.e. it is below the hole, no amount of pushing will allow the bolt to move up any further - it is stuck...

How the Hell ? Grab Handle Bolt ...

yup it should just push up and in but for some strange reason it won't push up enough - sticks out about 10mm then when you let go it drops out fully as shown in the photo ... hey ho - looks like Audi will have to sort it out when it goes in for a service in a month or so ...

How the Hell ? Grab Handle Bolt ...

HI all, Not sure if anyone has come across this before. I have removed the allen bolt from the grab handle so I could swap the ash-tray for the non-smokers try - this is all in and done. But, the left grab handle, the allen bolt has dropped down and is poking out the bottom of the grab...

    Floor mounted excelerator

you can see from MarcQuinlivan video the very lift from acc pedal to brake pedal has to be more to avoid clipping the side of the brake pedal. It is a shame the pedal design was not there to make the pedals level for fast pedal switching. I am guessing this is the same for all the A3 models ...

    Floor mounted excelerator

I'm glad it is not just me that is having these troubles .... ;-) When I first got the car, I was constantly catching the side of the brake pedal as I lifted off the acc pedal and moved my foot sideways to the brake - the brake is slightly set higher out and so it took a few weeks for my tiny...

    Floor mounted excelerator

I have a similar (comfy) issue with the pedals but more from the clutch ... I can't find a comfy position - if I have the seat so the brake/acc pedals are far enough away then I can't fully engage the clutch, if I put the clutch at a point where I can just about (comfy) press it all the way in...

    Squeaky Seat - Warranty ?

Thanks all for the comments/info, the car is due a service in 1900 miles (approx 2-3 months) so I will request them to look at the seat at the same time - saves taking the car in twice. Cheers all. here's hoping it gets fixed ! I also have the CD player issue - got a symphony II and sometimes...

    Squeaky Seat - Warranty ?

Hi all, The drivers seat of my A3 is a bit "creaky/squeaky" - when you move around in the seat (cornering or going over bumps or getting in/out) the seat creaks/squeaks - it is not bad but didn't expect an Audi to have ratlles/squeaks. It is not as if I am a "large" person. Do you think...

    Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrics

Hi, I too had the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's only Subaru Impreza Turbo - best tyres I ever fitted ! Amazing grip in the wet ! stunning ! From what I can remember they can take a few hundred miles to get real grippy - seem a bit naff when first fitted. Would go all 4 if you are going to be...

    Any work done from Hazzydayz?

Hi, I had Cruise fitted by Gareth about 4 weeks ago and he was very professional, very tidy, communications in the morning about arrival time etc were spot on. If you don't like fiddling with the nuts and bolts yourself then Gareth is a very good choice and he comes out to your house/place...

    TomTom Mount

I use the air-vent clip attachment for the tomtom - bought it off fleabay - works just fine :) cheap option. The position of the vents and the bracket all angle to give an ideal viewing position. No marks left on the windscreen when removed.
