hi i got an 08 prefacelift s3 and that seems to be wheelspinning now!? but not all the time? done a vcds and no haldex faults came up? anyone any idea haha? also anyone got part number for haldex pre pump just to look it up?

did this ever get resolved? im thinking getting a fbmfsw but i have standard wheel n no functions on an 08 prefacelift, i want the wheel tho ha

subframe, wishbones, drive shafts all need to come of from underneath the car to get into the transfer box to strip it down. all needs toruqed and everything, a job i wouldnt say for the novice mate. then all needs aligned.

for that money i would side step this. theres plenty for s3 for 250+ that would be much better suited and for 2nd hand u can get alot for 200+

clutch change on a 4wd is 6 hours of work, at 50+ quid an hour in alot of garages then vat ur looking 360 quid. not to mention price of the new clutch(2nd hand or new i dont know) you can PX at garages who alot of time just look at car and give u an offer or u can reduce ur value for say 500...

the haldex kicks in when cornering when hitting it hard, hence why h&r (one of most rated firms) offer front and rear, both offering 2 settings(hard and soft) thoi installed one at a time and had rear for a week before it and had alot of tail whip which was quite fun but must have been confusing...

As i am about to have my s3 lowered about 30 mm from standard not too distant and wanting to put on 19x8.5j et 44 o.z superturismo LM wheels on prolly with 225,35 r19 tyres , i was wondering if anyone has tried the same(or there abouts lowering) and rougly same wheel dimensions and if any issues...

hmmm seems split, some ppl sware it works and others call it a con ha! ohhh i dont know lol might just leave it out as its not exactly like my cars running bad.
