    So 5-years ago this week:

Congrats on the 5 years of ownership, probably one of the better kept 8P's around and all the better now for some 034 wizardry! But we both know if your garage was bigger 7 rather than 3 would be your lucky number.....

    Traction control

Haldex pump or could just be your tyres are not at optimum / have scrubbed their release agent out of them.

Looking at an RS38P? Help Required?

Steady on John, my car could be construed as 'messed on with' but in fairness it is fault free and far better maintained than a lot of those that are a daily commute hack or an occasional toy that gets ragged to death at the weekend and then parked up for a week.

    OEM 8P RS3 Rotor/Shark-fin Re-furbish by JP Alloys

Would have been nice for them to say that, but I got nada from them. In a world of communication it's amazing how many people are crap at it because of the consequence free attitude they have.

    Moving On

So as I am selling my RS3 I've had a few enquiries in the last day or so from people looking to buy the car without some of the modifications on it and I have a few spare parts lying around as well so whilst not yet for sale and therefore not yet in the Classifieds I'd be interested to gauge...

    Moving On

Looks like I have rather luckily closed a deal on the replacement for my RS3 so need to move it on in the next 2-3 weeks so price revised.

    Moving On

The time has come to move on from my RS3 so if anyone is interested, details are in the Classifieds section on this site. It's a great car but just not what I need now so after 4 years of ownership from new its time to let someone else enjoy this sleeper of a performance car that now performs...

    OEM 8P RS3 Rotor/Shark-fin Re-furbish by JP Alloys

It looks like they rate your business John, I phoned them twice about powder coating my exhaust tips after your recommendation and between the nonchalant tone on the phone and never calling me back they seemed not to be bothered. Found somewhere local instead.

Is This The Last RS3 To Be Registered

Certainly would be with MMI when MMI can't be configured to the 8P electrical system

There's A Traitor In The Camp

I'd be interested to see how you get on with it. Exterrior on the whole is fine and I ssupect the reason I didn't get on with the A45, raking rear pillars, limited headroom for reasr passengers / kids and small boot compared to the '3 are not items that will affect you. The interior is an...

    Front Tyre Wear

Just over 7k miles on the F1's and I have 5.4mm on the fronts and 6.5mm on the rears. They should last 18-20k miles all in as all are 235's and I'll swap fronts to rears next spring as I reckon another 2-3 months and I'll be on winters.

    Redemption - APR Stage I v2 Review

Glad you are happy Mark, on a dyno it should make a healthy 480 ftlbs on a vs 2.0 which is why you feel so much more shove over the 1.2 (IIRC was around 430 ftlbs). Mine was bang on the torque, just light on bhp but have come off Momentum to see if the change to V-Power gives me back some of my...

    Cruise control retrofitted

VW Teesside recommended, they fitted the cruise for me a couple of weeks ago as well as supplying the kit because I wasn't fussed about DIY. Took them less than an hour and the price was less than it would have proportionately cost me to do it.

    Out of the comfort zone

Looks like a series 2 E-Gear? Not easy cars to drive slow like you say but when you get 40mph plus they are so compliant. Was in an Aventador last weekend and the acceleration in sport I can only liken to launch control in the '3 but whenever you hit the accelerator hard. Corsa snaps your neck...

    Chris Harris at it again...................

And the important part to your statement there is 'mapped' and dirt cheap. That's why he likes it. The A45 is a decent car but it's not 'the daddy'. The M135i is a performance bargain but as many journo's are finding out including Harris it has its limitations on ride and grip. Audi didn't do...

You've guessed it !! The return of brake squeal AFTER Audi fix.

Simple answer is the way different drivers drive their cars. Everything from frequency of usage, to whether they sit at lights with foot on brake in gear, engine braking, how often they really use them as opposed to light braking, cooling period, cleaning etc etc. There are as many variables as...
