On mine it was the bulb, changed them for some unkown make off ebay for £38 for 5300K (same as OEM) and been fine since, (that was 12K miles ago). Also headlight can be removed without bumper removal but you will need a very long T20 to remove the bottom screw.

I actually live in Newton but used to live in Brigham, I assume that 47mpg is from the dis, but still good! I had my DIS calibrated when I had mine remapped (they usually read about 8mpg - 12mpg over before remap). Mine is on 111,000 miles and still on orig clutch, if it goes, i will replace...

Had my manual 3L TDI B7 for a year now and love it. Could not get on with the auto at all, but each to there own. However I echo the get a remap comments, then it truly is awesome. Plus you get to eat 530 bmw for breakfast!

I have gen 18" Rs6 wheels that are too heavy, i would not want to go for heavier 19 wheels and wouldnever fit reps. I don't want 19 either as I like the ride of 18 and have tyres! The fact they are wheels fitted as standard to VW matters not one jot to me!

Mu fears have been confirmed, I stil think the wheels are nice but not on this avant. What about Interlagos Turbine alloys off a Scirroco, they are really the only other wheels I like that I can afford now?

Hi, i am getting new wheels that have a diff offset, 37 as opposed to the standard 43. Meaning my wheels will stick out 6mm per side more than they currently do, giving the car a 12mm wider track. Is this going to cause any issues with wear on the car, handeling etc? Thanks, Ant
