    3.2 V6 vs 2.0T fsi

You are absolutely right. It all comes down to personal preference. I've always wanted a V8 S4 but imagine the running costs to be very high. The 2.0t was a little in characterful for my liking so maybe the V6 is a happy medium. Ben

    3.2 V6 vs 2.0T fsi

From when I was looking into tuning options when I had my 2.0t 280 is unrealistic without a HPFP. V6's as standard come with 250 bhp so onto a winner already. I've seen a B8 3.2 that looks good and has slightly more power with lower tax so will have a look at that too. Ben

    3.2 V6 vs 2.0T fsi

To tune the 2.0 turbo there is a massive cost to it. The exhaust, intake and hpfp plus a map will cost almost £3k. Second hand parts are rarely available too. Ben

    3.2 V6 vs 2.0T fsi

Didn't manage to get over to see the S4 today. I fancy a supercharged V6.

    3.2 V6 vs 2.0T fsi

Cheers for the advice. I'm looking at an S4 Avant which is local to me tomorrow.

    3.2 V6 vs 2.0T fsi

Cheers for the reply. R32 is a good shout but I need the practicality of an estate. I do like instant throttle response of an n/a engine and the noise of a V6. Ben

    3.2 V6 vs 2.0T fsi

Hi all, I've had a 2.0T fsi in the past which ended up going back to the dealer due to engine failure. It was the Quattro version which had been remapped but still didn't feel as quick as I would have liked. I'm now looking for another B7 Avant and have seen a nice V6 version. Does anyone...

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

The car had low miles (69k) and all services bar one were done at Audi. It was just very poorly repaired in the past. I just put it down to my bad luck. I'm on the lookout for an S4 but will probably go back to BMW. Ben

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Still waiting to hear if it will be written off. Starting to get impatient as it looks like it will but all parties seem to be dithering. What to replace it with? Ben

2.0T fsi oil pressure warning light

The garage took it apart and that's when the fun started. The oil pump and turbo have been replaced at some point before my ownership. There were three bolts missing from the oil pump. The toothed pulley that attaches to the crankshaft that drives the chain on the oil pump was welded in place...

Not when it's my only form of transport.

First thing for me is to source a re-built engine and get it going again. Ben

A4 Quattro clutch replacement advise required if possible.

I seriously doubt you will be able to move it far enough back to change the clutch. Best to get it out of the way completely. Ben

Anyone had any dealings with German Engine Specialists in Eirth, Kent? They can supply and deliver a re-built 2.0 tfsi unit for £1495 plus vat. Ben

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

I appreciate the advise. I was hoping I could turn a bad situation into a slightly better one, even if I had to add a few extra ££££'s. Ben

V8 is an option. Or a 2.7t set up. Just wondering what people thoughts were on it. It's need an engine anyway so may as well upgrade while I can.

What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Found out from the garage my engine is goosed. 2.0 tfsi with 76k and full service history, mostly Audi. The sump has been dropped and there is swarf on there and the top end is bone dry. Consensus is a new engine. So, what engine shall I replace it with? I was thinking of getting the garage...

2.0T fsi oil pressure warning light

The car has been recovered to a garage for them to investigate. Fault codes were camshaft sensor and knock sensor (obviously). Hopefully a pressure test will point to either blocked pick up pipe or faulty oil pump and there is no too end damage. Ben
