Fair play mate, would personally say for more power may be worth looking into swapping turbo and injectors (injectors if it's 115) then mapping rather than engine.
Just for reference my 1.9tdi made similar power to what a 2.0tdi would have made with the same stuff bolted on.
Either is fine, regular changes are key.
If you don't plan on changing oil often, don't conduct much spirited driving and don't mind thicker oil 5w30 is fine. Probably find more garages use 5w30 as it's more universal but more enthusiasts want the lowest first number and highest second of which...

Starting to wonder why people don't have Asda plastered on car's in favour of Castrol, Millers and the like.
Some of the best regarded oil isn't 507, will leave @Gazwould to do some more research into why.
None of us are likely to have catastrophic failure due to oil choice and your continued want to post biased information unrelated to grade just referencing what what test it passed says all we need to know.

Regular changes are key, personally only use 5w40 or 0w40 and go for branded stuff as I'm a snob :icon thumright: can tell me supermarket oil, fuel or whatever is fine as it meets "standards" still not using it, each to their own, wouldn't run 5w30...
