I got a pretty good library of ECU pinouts and connections so I might be able to find that for you. I’m not so familiar with the specified engine and the immobilizer situation with this ECU and engine though, so I may not have all the answers :)
Today I connect the mfsw buttons to the airbag wiring loom myself, searched far and wide and finally found the correct diagram. Connected and coded and everything works perfectly. I’ll leave the photo here in case other needs it.
Have a great day all!
Here’s the pinout, you need to open the ECU and solder on the boot wire or make connection with a rod.
This ECU is easy to read through the OBD so why do you want the pinout?
My car sits on original sline suspension and they need to be changed. What’s your recommendations? I like the rear stance but the front needs to go lower. I haven’t checked if it’s the dampers or the springs that’s the issue yet, but I’ve heard sline’s not the best... even tho I think they ride...
Yesterday I took apart the valve cover to inspect the injector harness and crimping the contacts as I suspected bad connection after the car started to misfire and showing a misfire faultcode a while back. The faultcode is gone and I don’t remember if it said cyl3 or what.
I tested all cables...
I just fixed my own car after weeks of ******* around, if you got an RB4 dash you can probably use VCDS depending on what you wanna do, but VCDS can’t do anything with an RB8 dash.
I bought an Abrites clone to fix mine, previous owner threw the old dash away and put in a used one so I had no...
thanks but I’ll stick to this wheel, but if you got the pinout for adding the multi function connector to the wiring loom myself I would appreciate that
Installed my new (old) MFSW today, got it pretty cheap so it got a few marks here and there that I’ll try to work on. Waiting for the new wiring loom and slip ring before I can code it, already got the correct comfort module so that’s a positive.
I have been trying to read the EEPROM from my A4 B7 RB8 cluster, but eithout any luck.
I've tried multiple softwares and are currently using Abrites. It works great for everything else except reading the eeprom. The connection starts, and it tries to read, then Iget prompted that it couldn't be...
yes it’s very different, but I like the more minimalistic style of it, I think the A4 one is too big.
I’m located on the west coast of Norway, where did you spend tour time?
My starter engine stopped working yesterday, so I pulled out the starter, tore it apart and gave it a nice clean even though it was the solenoid that was broken. It was dirty as hell! Then took a Touran starter down from the shelf and stole the solenoid from it, almost a perfect match, just had...
Haven’t taken them out yet, but I guess the inside door cover needs to be removed to access a bolt or two. I guess someone here will give us an answer on the correct way to reassemble before I find out
