hi guys my freinds car is a audi a4 quottro tsfi , the power steering pump was leaking so had it replaced now its , has an itermitant foult if i rev it at stand still the power steering works and let it tick over fine , but if i rev it again and let it back to tick over no power steering.

iam from the 8p a3 side ,my freind has a 2006 a4 tfsi quottro and its done a high milage of about 117400 she is on long life sevicing at the moment ,i think the oil used is 5w 30 and it needs toping up every 3000 miles , so would a thicker oil like a 10w 40 high milege oil be better , i know...
