You will need a special vas tool to code the actuator it can't be done via vcds. It programs the limits of the Turbo vanes to the actuator

I made two slits either side and used bungee cord from the rear and it's made a nice holder you could also use some netting

It's a VAS6395B are your vnt vanes opening up fully or do you have same problem I had with sticky vanes that limit the movement and then throws up the mil light

Did your mechanic use the vag tool to reset the actuator up to your Turbo as this needs to be done so the computer knows where the closed and fully open positions are.

Could be corroded contacts on the window amplifier which is above the rear window on the near side once you've pulled the trim i just used contact cleaner on the copper contacts and was miles better

Have you got a pic of the car on the ground as I need to order new springs and shocks myself but have a dilemma on either 30 or 45 drop. At the mo mine have sagged so much I'm prob near 45 anyway x thanks in advance

From what I remember from my actuator you need a special audi tool to set the limits if it's the same as mine it's an electronic vdo unit these can't be set by hand

You can do the pulley when it's in service position still tight to get to some of the bolts I replaced with new bolts and new washers as they have been upgraded if your up to it change the front snub nose bush aswell as your right next to it if it's looking worn
