s3 tpms

Hello all, just bought the wife a new S3 and want to fit some winter rims/tyres. Can’t seem to get a definitive answer on whether the TPMS system is direct (using wheel sensors) or indirect (using ABS to sense differential rotational speeds), does anyone here know if the car has sensors? Thanks...
