02e DSG Transmission Swap question

Greetings,
my 2010 a3 quattro 2.0l tfsi uses a 6-speed DSG. The code for this DSG variant is LVT. My question is, (besides the mechatronic recoding) can ANY 02e be used in it's place if I just recode the new mechatronic that comes with the used trans and everything will be good to go? Or does it need to just come from the same model year, audi or vw? Or does the audi vw difference matter? Thanks

I believe you can reocde the mechatronic so it works with any engine. Try asking this guy: http://www.evosoft.dk/tech.html
