Hey guys. i’m in need of some advice for my 1.8 b8. Timing chain has become slack and has rotated camshaft out of time by 90 degrees. car has been inspected by local audi. obviously car won’t start now due to damage to cyclinder head i presume. does anyone know how much this will cost to put right?/ what could be the worst case scenario? new engine? i’ve been advised by my garage that a second hand engine would be cost efficient. or could i get it fixed for under the 2500 that i have been quoted for an engine? by stripping head first?
